Verano Austral
In 2020, Katrin Endrikat celebrates a special year – 20 years of playing the classical guitar!
To mark this occasion, she recorded Verano Austral in fall 2019. Her music ranges from well-known tunes from Spain to dances from Argentina and South America and contemporary music from the United States of America.
Verano Austral, Spanish for summer in the southern hemisphere, is a reminder of where this music originates.
Joie de Vivre
I dedicated this album to my first child, my daughter Célestine, who was welcomed to this world in August 2016. She has been a big part of this project, since we have done everything together, from practicing and recording to editing. My biggest wish for her in life is to become a happy, joyful person. Therefore, I named this album Joie de Vivre, happiness of life. For me, this repertoire evokes joyful emotions in anticipation of her arrival.
Between the Worlds
I am very grateful to my music fans who have supported me throughout all these years and believed in me as a musician. I have often heard members of the audience asking me for a record after a concert; therefore I am very happy to finally present my first CD with an insight into the classical guitar repertoire from different genres by my favorite composers. I hope you will enjoy some timeless moments of beautiful guitar music.
